About this Course

This first-year Arabic course is designed for high school students with no prior knowledge of the language. It introduces students to both spoken and written modern standard Arabic. Key learning outcomes include writing the Arabic alphabet, forming words and sentences using essential vocabulary and grammar structures, and acquiring survival speaking skills. By the end of the course, students should have enough proficiency to discuss religious topics and understand some Orthodox Arabic hymns. The course assumes an understanding of decoding and reading English at the student's level.
