About this Course

This online course offers an introductory, college-level exploration of statistics, aiming to equip students with the ability to understand, interpret, and analyze data. Students will engage with real-world issues and perform statistical analyses using appropriate technology, with a strong emphasis on the practical application of graphing calculators from the TI-83+ or TI-84 family (TI-Nspire is also accepted). The course prepares students for the AP® Statistics exam, with an approved status from the College Board. Topics covered include exploring and modeling data, probability theory, sampling distributions, hypothesis testing, and inferences for categorical data.

The course is designed for 11th to 12th grade students and requires a solid foundation in Algebra 2. It is structured to provide a comprehensive understanding of statistical concepts and their application, fostering critical thinking and data literacy in students.
