About this Course

This online course is a full-year college-level introductory statistics course for 10th-12th graders who have completed Algebra 2. AP Statistics prepares students to take the AP Statistics exam in May 2025 and is specifically beneficial for those intending to study psychology, biology, engineering, nursing, business, finance, marketing, economics, or sociology. Through technology and topical investigations, students will develop skills in statistical methods, data analysis, finding probability, using simulation, and writing statistical argumentation. The course includes numerous opportunities to practice solving problems in the style of the AP Statistics exam, and there is an optional semester-long lab course available for additional support.

The course follows a structured format where students will view instructional videos, practice solving problems in homework, complete projects and demonstrate understanding through exams. Students are expected to have a TI-83 or TI-84 calculator, high-speed internet, and a smartphone for uploading handwritten work. The course offers timely feedback on assignments and homeworks are revisable until the student achieves their desired score.
