About this Course

The Self-paced Honors Precalculus course, taught by Amelia Chan, is designed for students intending to enroll in AP Calculus in the future. This AP course will be offered online for the 2024-2025 school year and will focus on the study of functions, which are the basis of calculus and other higher mathematics courses. The course will cover trigonometric, polynomial, rational, inverse exponential and logarithmic functions, inequalities, polar coordinates, complex numbers, conic sections, vectors and matrices. The AP exam is optional for this course.

To participate, students must have successfully completed Geometry and Algebra II. The course will be taught through a combination of online class materials accessed via Canvas and College Board AP, teacher produced video Lectures, weekly assignments, quizzes, chapter tests, and exams. The course will also includes one optional live Zoom session per week. The cost of the course is $699 for early bird registration and $759 after June 30.
