AP Physics 1

This is an online Physics course that covers topics typically taught in a first-semester introductory college course. The algebra-based curriculum includes kinematics, force, translational dynamics, work, work, energy, power, linear momentum, torque, rotational dynamics, energy and momentum of rotating systems, oscillations, and fluids. The course is designed to deepen students' understanding of Physics through inquiry-based investigations and laboratory work, with a focus on core science practices such as creating representations, analyzing data, and supporting claims. The course follows the AP curriculum, allowing students to engage in confirmation style labs, structured inquiry, guided inquiry, and open inquiry.

The course is flexible, with the option for live class attendance to be reduced or waived if necessary. Students may benefit from the course's AP certification, as well as its California A-G approval.
