About this Course
This online course covers the political, diplomatic, cultural/intellectual, social, and economic/commercial history of Europe from 1450 to the present. It is designed to increase understanding of Europe's role in shaping the contemporary world. The course includes topics such as kings, revolutions, the Reformation, great art, science, mathematics, three world wars, colonialism, and more. Students will learn to analyze primary and secondary sources and evaluate different viewpoints. The course is taught by an experienced AP history exam grader and meets all content requirements for the AP exam. Practice questions and tests from the College Board, as well as individualized feedback on writing, are provided to help students prepare for the exam essay questions. The course is flexible and can be taken with reduced or waived live class attendance, if needed. It has CA A-G approval and is equivalent to a full-year, honors-level course.
