AP Computer Science Principles

This online course focuses on introducing students to the fundamental concepts of computer science, with an emphasis on the impact of technology on everyday life. No prior programming experience is necessary, as students will learn basic programming skills using both a block-based language and Python. The course includes six major projects designed to prepare students for the AP exam and assess their learning. Additional assignments will cover topics such as creating calculator applications, analyzing and visualizing data, and game development. The course requires a significant amount of initiative, study, analytical skill, project management, and sustained effort to complete the assignments and prepare for the AP exam.

The course may be taken with flexible scheduling, allowing for live class attendance to be waived or modified in the event of a schedule or time zone conflict. This course is AP certified and has CA A-G approval.
