AP Computer Science A (Advanced Programming in Java)

This is an advanced programming course that focuses on object-oriented programming and design using the Java programming language. The course is designed to be fast-paced and builds upon the student's prior experience in programming. Topics covered in this course include program design, algorithm development, data structures, code implementation, testing, analysis, and documentation. The course also covers ethical and social implications of computing systems. Students will have the opportunity to further develop their creativity, computational thinking skills, and problem-solving skills. Test strategies and practice tests will be provided to prepare students for the AP Computer Science A exam.

The course offers flexible scheduling, allowing students to reduce or waive live class attendance if they have a schedule or time zone conflict. This course is AP® certified and has CA A-G approval.
