AP Homeschoolers is offering an online AP® Chemistry course for the 2024-2025 school year, taught by Peter Moskaluk. The course is designed to cover the College Board curriculum in a logical sequence, with a comprehensive 4-week review before the AP Chemistry exam. The course is asynchronous, with all materials available 24/7, and optional live sessions are offered to demonstrate lab experiments that cannot be done at home. Students will be guided and assessed using Cengage’s WebAssign® online learning platform, and personalized help is available through a discussion board.
The course starts on August 26, 2024, and ends on May 6, 2025 (AP Exam). The tuition is $895, which includes a 1-year subscription to Cengage’s WebAssign Online Learning Platform. Students must be self-disciplined, well-organized, and able to schedule a minimum of 1ours a week for the course, not including lab work. This course is open to 9th through 12th-grade students, aged 14 – 18, who have completed Algebra II or are taking the class concurrently with their Algebra II course. A previous high school chemistry class is not required. Students must purchase the textbook, "Chang's Chemistry" or "Chang's Chemistry: Essential Concepts" (5th to 13th edition), and specific school supplies, including a lab kit, are required.
