About this Course
The online AP® Calculus BC course, taught by Linda Henderson for the 2024-2025 school year, is a full-year course that covers the four units of the AP® Calculus BC curriculum. The course is designed for students who have already completed AP® Calculus AB or have a solid background in high school Calculus, Algebra 2, Geometry, Pre-Calculus, and Trigonometry. The course will be delivered through Canvas, with written lessons, videos, and supplemental videos. Students will need to spend 5-10 hours per week on course material, adhere to due dates, and participate in weekly office hours via Zoom. Regular homework assignments will be given, with graded assignments and tests throughout each unit, leading up to the AP® Calculus BC Exam in May 2025. Students not taking the AP® Exam will be required to take a final exam. The course requires a computer or tablet device with high-speed internet, a graphing calculator compatible with the TI-84 Plus series, a microphone and web camera for online sessions, and the textbook "Calculus: Early Transcendentals Single Variable, 12th edition" by Howard Anton, Irl Bivens, and Stephen Bivens.
