AP Calculus AB

The Well-Trained Mind Academy offers a full-year online course for advanced students aiming to take the College Board's Advanced Placement (AP) Calculus AB Exam. This rigorous course covers essential calculus topics, such as limits, continuity, differentiation, integration, power series, plane curves, and elementary differential equations. The coursework features weekly short-answer questions and longer proof assignments, providing students the opportunity to apply their knowledge and solidify their understanding of fundamental calculus concepts.

As part of the course, students will complete previous AP Calculus AB exams to familiarize themselves with test-taking strategies and boost their confidence for the official exam. To enroll, students must have previously completed a challenging Pre-Calculus course, such as WTMA's AoPS Pre-Calculus or an equivalent honors-level Pre-Calculus course, and pass the AoPS Calculus pre-test. Homeschooled students can include the AP course in their transcripts by completing the College Board's course audit and registering with a local school to take the optional AP exam.
