AP Biology

The AP® Biology course is a college-level, full-year program designed to challenge students with a solid foundation in biology, chemistry, and physics. It aligns with the first-year college course on general biology and prepares students for the AP® Biology Exam. Key topics include advanced biochemistry, cellular biology, genetics, evolution, and ecology. Unique to this course, these subjects are explored through a biblical lens, integrating religious studies with biological concepts. The course encourages scientific and critical thinking, effective communication of biological ideas, experimental design, and interdisciplinary connections. It is recommended for 11-12 grade students, and although it typically assumes prior completion of Honors Biology, students having taken AP Chemistry can also prepare through a self-paced course.
