AP Biology

This online course is designed to prepare students for the AP Biology exam and for college-level science courses. It covers various topics such as biochemistry, cellular biology, bioenergetics, heredity and molecular genetics, evolution theory, and ecology. A strong background in high school biology and chemistry is recommended for this course. The course also emphasizes scientific reasoning and experimental design, and prior high school experience with formal lab procedures and reports is essential. Students will engage in a strong lab component and have discussions about the integration of faith and science.

The course is flexible with scheduling and may be taken with live class attendance reduced or waived if there is a schedule or time zone conflict. This course is AP certified, and students who take this course have the opportunity to take the AP exam. This course has CA A-G approval.
