About this Course

This is a one-semester course on human anatomy and physiology that can be extended to a full year with additional topics covered. The course includes laboratory investigations, and students will explore topics such as cell structure and function, skeletal and muscle physiology, nervous system physiology, sensation and perception, and cardiovascular system anatomy and physiology. The course covers the experimental method, lab report writing, peer review, and presentation of lab results. The fall and spring semesters cover different material, and while it is recommended to take both semesters, students can choose to register for either the fall or spring semester depending on their transcript needs. A good foundation in biology and chemistry is strongly recommended for this course. The course alternates with Astronomy.
