About this Course

This is a full-year, full-credit high school Anatomy and Physiology course set to start in Fall 2025 and meet every Tuesday from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. CST. Dr. Kristin Moon will be teaching the class, which explores the structural and functional aspects of the human body, covering organ systems, cells, tissues, and organisms. It uses an interactive teaching approach involving live classes, videos, hands-on activities, case studies, online simulations, and labs. Students will use "The Anatomy Coloring Book" as their primary text, supplemented by online resources. Lab materials range from basic art supplies to ingredients like iodine, cornstarch, and vinegar. Dissections of preserved organisms like cow eyes and sheep hearts are encouraged but not mandatory. The course is equivalent to one credit hour and requires a prerequisite of Biology.
