American Sign Language 3

The online course "American Sign Language 3" is the third level in the ASL series by True North Academy, designed for students who have completed ASL 1 and ASL 2. This course focuses on storytelling in American Sign Language, building upon the vocabulary, grammar, and cultural knowledge students have already acquired. Students will work on interpreting ASL literature, including stories, jokes, and more, preparing them for advanced storytelling in the next level. Additionally, the curriculum expands understanding of ASL vocabulary, linguistics, grammar, Deaf culture, and history. The course features a self-paced learning approach, a video dictionary with over 18,000 words, and interactive sessions with a Deaf signer. Required materials include the self-paced ASL curriculum and a free account on Flip for video assignments.
