About this Course

This online course offers an integrated approach to American history and literature, spanning from colonial times through the 20th century. It aims to examine significant historical questions, such as the motivations of colonists and the impact of biblical worldviews on the Constitution. The course also delves into the development of American literature, analyzing works from Puritan poets to modern writers. Students can expect to enhance their essay writing skills at the TPS English 3 level, as well as engage in self-evaluation and editing. This two-credit course will appear as two separate credits on a transcript – one for English and another for U.S. History. Please note that students enrolled in the EFL-A Tutoring program are ineligible for this course.
