American History II

The course is an advanced study in American history, focusing on historical analysis from the end of Reconstruction (1877) to the 1980s. Key topics include industrialization, immigration, political eras, world wars, the Great Depression, Cold War, and major conflicts in East Asia and the Middle East. This year-long, high school credit-bearing course combines lectures, discussions, readings, essay assignments, and online assessments, requiring approximately 60 minutes of daily work. Evaluation is based on participation, quizzes, essays, and exams. Prerequisites include completion of American History I or equivalent content.
