Algebra I

This is a full-year online course of Algebra I, which focuses on building a strong foundation in algebraic equations and problem-solving skills. The course materials are based on Mary Dolciani’s Algebra: Structure and Method text and will cover topics including multi-variable expressions, distribution and factoring, linear equations, ratios and percents, proportions, graphing lines, inequalities, and quadratic equations. Students will utilize a graphing calculator and other technology to solve problems, as well as develop their problem-solving skills and learn to analyze data and solve real-world problems through a combination of lecture, class discussion, MathXL homework, and activities. The prerequisite for this course is Pre-Algebra and passing the Algebra I Readiness Test.
