About this Course

The Algebra 2 Review course is a summer course designed to help students brush up on their Algebra 2 skills before taking classes such as TPS Precalculus, Statistics, or Quantitative Reasoning in the fall. This course is also suitable for students who are new to TPS and want a head start, or for those planning to take the SAT and want to strengthen their math abilities. The course covers major topics and skills from Algebra 2, including linear and quadratic functions, polynomial functions, rational and radical functions, sequences and series, and basic trigonometry. The interactive class aims to solidify important advanced algebra concepts and improve critical thinking skills for higher mathematics. No book is required for this course, as all worksheets, activities, and solutions will be provided by the teacher. It is important to note that this course is relaxed in attendance and assignments are optional, making it a great way to prepare for the next school year while enjoying your summer break.

The Algebra 2 Review course provides weekly practice, evaluation, and feedback in math skills related to the level of the course, but it does not provide a final grade or credit. The course is not a prerequisite for any TPS course and does not provide placement approval. This course is suitable for students who want to strengthen their foundational skills in math, smooth out rough patches from the prior school year, or give themselves a head start for the next school year.
