Algebra 1 – Section A

The course, Algebra 1, serves as a fundamental building block for advanced mathematics and science. It covers a range of topics including functions, linear equations, systems, absolute value, inequalities, polynomials, and factoring. The course is unique in its blend of digital interaction and personal instruction. It uses a dynamic software that instantly grades assignments, provides sample solutions, and offers additional practice exercises. Students also receive 1.5 hours weekly of live instruction, supported by video clips for each topic. Students submit quiz and test solutions on paper for partial credit grading.

This full-year course is designed for high school students and earns them 1 math credit upon completion. It requires a non-refundable $35 deposit for the math software program, applicable annually rather than per semester. Admission requires completion of Pre-Algebra or a passing score on the placement test, along with instructor permission.
