This online course focuses on developing critical mathematical thinking skills through topics such as manipulation of variables in expressions and equations, data analysis, operations with rational numbers, solving equations and inequalities, and more. It uses the Elayn Martin-Gay High School Series (AGA), known for its rich set of supplemental videos and excellent online resources. The course offers both standard and honors levels, with the honors version specifically designed for students planning to take Calculus in high school or college. This course provides a solid foundation in algebra, which is a prerequisite for many high school and college-level math and science courses.
