This is an excellent, in-depth, and well taught course.
Though it isn't an AP course, my child ended up sitting for the AP exam and said that the AP problems were on-par with or easier than the problems she had learned from in this class. (There are 2 topics covered by the AP exam that are NOT covered by this course, so my child self-studied those topics). I share this as a testament to the depth and quality of teaching. (If you plan to take the AP test, you would be better served with an actual AP Chem course so that you will hit the extra topics needed for the exam).
While the content is deep, Ms. Schwartz makes it very interesting. My child thoroughly enjoyed the course and wanted to take additional chem classes afterwards.
The lectures are pre-recorded, up to 1 hour long. Each week, the student has a pacing checklist with the weeks' work: lectures to watch, homework and quizzes to complete. There are periodic due dates (I believe at the end of each section, so roughly every other week) to help students stay on track.
There are no live class meetings, but there are weekly live office hours. Ms. Schwartz is also very responsive to questions by email.
Highly recommend. I plan to have my other child take chemistry with Clover Valley as well. There are non honors options available.
